RTA announces January service adjustments

(DAYTON, OHIO) December 27, 2012…RTA will make the following service adjustments beginning Sunday, January 6, 2013:
Interstate 75 construction detours begin when the Ohio Department of Transportation opens Fifth Street and begins the Robert Drive detour from Salem Avenue, creating the following route adjustments:
On Tuesday, January 22, 2013 all Route 8 northbound and southbound trips will re-route via Riverview, Main, and Monument Streets. There will be no service on First Street or Monument Street on the Route 8.
On Monday, February 4, 2013 all westbound trips on Routes 4 will re-route from Wright Stop Plaza left on Main St., right on 4th St., to continue on 4th, right on Edwin C. Moses, left on 3rd St. to regular routing.
All eastbound trips on Routes 4 will re-route from 3rd, right on Edwin C. Moses, left on 5th, left on Main, and right into Wright Stop Plaza.
On Wednesday, February 13, 2013 all southbound trips on Routes 9, 14, and 40 will re-route on Salem Avenue, to right on Robert Dr., left on 3rd, right on Jefferson, to Wright Stop Plaza. Northbound routing will remain the same.
Route 1: Times will adjust 1-4 minutes on the weekday westbound 4:50 p.m. trip from the Student Union at Wright State University and will adjust 1-2 minutes on all weekday eastbound trips from 3rd & Iona to Wright Stop Plaza.
Route 2: Times will adjust 1-5 minutes on all weekday, Saturday and Sunday eastbound and westbound trips.
Route 4: Times will adjust 1-5 minutes on the weekday westbound 7:18 p.m. trip leaving Eastown Transit Center. The weekday 7:33 a.m. and 1:39 p.m. eastbound trips leaving the Westown Transit Center will change 3-5 minutes. Minor time adjustments will occur at Westown Transit Center on all Saturday westbound trips.
Route 7: A weekday 3:10 p.m. southbound trip will be added leaving Main and Macy for Horizon students. A 7:02 p.m. trip from Wayne will be extended to Wright Stop Plaza.
Route 9: Times will adjust 1-5 minutes on all weekday southbound trips from 4:52 a.m. to 6:22 p.m., all weekday northbound trips from 5:16 a.m. to 6:12 p.m., and all Saturday northbound trips from 5:38 a.m. to 6:08 p.m.
Route 11: The deviation to Gate 1B on the weekday northbound 3:22 p.m. trip leaving Kettering Recreation Center will be eliminated. Times will adjust 1-2 minutes earlier on the 11:22 a.m. and 5:49 p.m. weekday trips from Kettering Recreation Center and on the southbound 1 p.m. trip from Eastown Transit Center.
Route 12: Times will adjust 1 minute between Stroop and Glengarry and Woodman and Stroop on all weekday southbound trips from 5:10 .am. to 6:29 p.m.
Route 17: The current detour route via Main St and Springhouse Rd to Irving Av will become the permanent routing.
Route 18: Service will be added to Timbercrest and Taylorsville on the weekday southbound 7:25 a.m. trip leaving Meijer and Executive and on the weekday northbound 2:37 p.m. trip leaving Wright Stop Plaza.
Route 19: The weekday northbound 11:06 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. trips leaving the South Transit Center will adjust 1-3 minutes. The weekday southbound 8:43 a.m. and 5:22 p.m. trips leaving Meijer and Executive will leave 2-4 minutes later.
Route 23: All weekday southbound trips will adjust 1-5 minutes. The weekday southbound 5:43 p.m. and 8:37 p.m. trips will leave 8-9 minutes later from Eastown Transit Center. All weekday northbound trips will change 1-10 minutes to improve on-time performance. All Saturday southbound trips will change from 1-6 minutes and the 8:35 a.m., 9:34 a.m., and 12:37 p.m. trips will leave the Eastown Transit Center 4-9 minutes earlier.
All Saturday northbound trips will change 1-5 minutes and the 11:36 a.m., 12:33 p.m., 2:36 p.m., and 3:36 p.m. trips will leave the South Transit Center 3-9 minutes earlier. Minor time adjustments of 1-2 minutes will be made on all northbound and southbound Sunday trips.
Route 24: Times will adjust 1-5 minutes on all weekday southbound trips leaving Meijer and St. Rte. 48 from 6:10 a.m. to 5:52 p.m. The weekday southbound 9:18 a.m. deviation to Gateway Shelter will be eliminated. Minor time adjustments of 1-4 minutes will be made on all weekday northbound trips from 8:36 a.m. to 7:17 p.m.
The weekday 4:59 a.m. trip leaving the South Transit Center will shift 10 minutes earlier. Saturday southbound 12:03 p.m. and 4:04 p.m. trips at Gateway Shelter will adjust 2-3 minutes. The Saturday southbound 5:13 a.m., 7:40 a.m., 10:05 a.m., and 12:45 p.m. trips will leave Meijer 2-8 minutes earlier. Times will adjust 1-5 minutes on Saturday northbound trips from 6:25 a.m. to 6:10 p.m. The 4:39 a.m. trip leaving Westown Transit Center and the 6:35 a.m., 8:52 a.m., and 11:22 a.m. trips leaving South Transit Center will leave 4-8 minutes earlier.
Sunday southbound trips from will change 1-3 minutes, leaving Meijer from 11:45 a.m. and 3:34 p.m. and from Westown at 6:17 a.m. will change 1-3 minutes. Times will adjust on most Sunday northbound trips by 1-3 minutes between 7 a.m. and 6:06 p.m.
Route X5: Times will adjust 2-3 minutes at E. 3rd and Perry on all northbound weekday, Saturday, and Sunday trips. The weekday northbound 4:16 p.m. trip will leave the South Transit Center 5 minutes earlier. The weekday southbound 5:48 p.m. trip will leave Wright Stop Plaza 7 minutes later.
Route X1A: Times will adjust 1-4 minutes and the route will serve Van Patton and Buckner Streets after leaving Building 22.
Route 41: Time will adjust 1-3 minutes later on the weekday westbound 11:30 a.m. trip and 5-12 minutes on the weekday eastbound 12:11 p.m. trip.
Route 60: All weekday eastbound and westbound trips will adjust 9-12 minutes later from 5:34 p.m. to 9:23 p.m. and all weekday westbound trips will adjust 1-2 minutes later from 10:33 a.m. to 4:36 p.m.
The Saturday eastbound trips leaving 1st and Central from 12:02 p.m. to 9:02 p.m. will shift 10 minutes later. Saturday westbound trips leaving South Transit Center from 11:33 a.m. to 8:33 p.m. also will shift 10 minutes later. All Sunday eastbound and westbound trips will adjust 2 minutes later. The time changes will allow transfers with Routes 23 and 61.
Route 61: Weekday, Saturday, and Sunday southbound service to Austin Landing will be added via St. Rte. 741 to right on Innovation Dr., left on Abbey Rd., and left on Landing Way. Trips to Kingsridge Dr. to serve Walmart and the Shops of 725 will be added. Stops on Mall Woods Dr. to Fred J. Miller will be eliminated because of low ridership.
