Welcome to RTA!

Greater Dayton RTA (RTA) connects 23 communities in Montgomery County along with Wright State University and Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  For over 130 years RTA has provided safe, reliable transportation to downtown offices, shopping centers, tourist attractions, entertainment venues, universities and other destinations for Miami Valley residents and visitors alike.

RTA has number of features to make it easier for seniors and persons with disabilities to use the system. Learn more about certification, free rides on fixed routes, scheduling appointments.

Operating Hours

Weekdays (4:30 a.m. - 1:30 a.m.)
Saturday (5:00 a.m. - 1:30 a.m.)
Sunday (5:00 a.m. - 1:30 a.m.) 

Typically the last passenger pick up occurs around 12:30 a.m. Check your schedule for details.

Safety and Security

Your safety is our top priority. You can count on RTA to work hard to ensure your ride with us is comfortable and safe. Look for our transit ambassadors at each transit center to assist you with concerns and questions. And RTA operators are skilled to handle problems onboard the bus. More importantly, our most important safety partner is you. If you see or hear anything suspicious contact us immediately.
