(DAYTON, OHIO)… The Greater Dayton RTA has started implementing steps to ensure safety and security during a possible strike announced by bus drivers and mechanics of the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1385.

Some of those preparations became visible Tuesday as temporary fencing went up around some of the RTA properties, including the facility on Longworth Street.

Although the RTA doesn’t anticipate any safety and security issues before or during a potential strike, the preparations must include these types of preventative measures.

The union announced their intent to strike at 12:01 AM on January 9th.
