RTA hiring bus drivers, holding open interviews

(DAYTON, OHIO) … The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority will hold several hiring events in the coming weeks in order to fill needed drivers positions.
The RTA aims to hire more than 40 drivers. Drivers with CDL licenses and those without are encouraged to apply, and no commercial driving experience is necessary. The RTA’s training program will provide new hires with the essential skills needed to succeed on the job.
For those able to attend, open, professional interviews will be held daily, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the RTA’s offices at 600 Longworth St., Dayton, 45402, beginning Wednesday, August 21. These daily, open interviews will continue through Friday, August 30.
For these open interviews, candidates are encouraged to first fill out an online application in advance for positions on the RTA’s career website at www.iriderta.org/careers. Candidates are also asked to bring a current resume, two forms of identification (including their driver’s license), and to arrive in interview-appropriate attire.

Starting wage for RTA drivers with a CDL is $15.59 per hour, and for drivers without a CDL starting wage is $13.64 per hour.
