(DAYTON, OHIO) … The Greater Dayton RTA is much more than a big green bus. The agency will showcase all of its services, which promote mobility across the Dayton region, with “The RTA Experience” day on Friday, June 29.
The RTA is home to many mobility options that connect people to jobs, medical appointments, grocery shopping and other needs through a variety of services, many of which provide instant “on-demand” options. The agency is proud to transport more than 30,000 daily riders. Those riders are workers, students, veterans, seniors, disabled individuals and others across the Greater Dayton region who choose from a variety of RTA mobility options that best serves their need at a fair cost.
“The goal is provide our customers and community a choice in how travel throughout the region. Sure, everyone notices the giant green buses but we also provide other services that can help connect people same day due to last minute changes in their plans or even a simple trip to the airport.”
At The RTA Experience, participants can also learn about the following programs:
- RTA fixed-route service
- RTA Connect On-Demand
- RTA Connect Paratransit
- RTA Premium Service
- RTA Senior EZ Ride
- Greene CATS connections
- Link Dayton Bike Share
- Wright Stop Bike Shop
- Connection to the MetroParks
- Partnerships with Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission
The event on the Square will also give participants a chance to show the RTA where they want to see future transportation in the Dayton region with the RTA’s “What Drives You” campaign preview. On an interactive map of the area, people can map out where they live, where they work, and where they want to travel via RTA. Participants will receive a free “What Drives You” t-shirt for their time.
