RTA continues Thanksgiving Day free rides

(DAYTON, OHIO)… The Greater Dayton RTA will be thanking all of its customers by once again offering free rides on all services Thanksgiving Day, including free rides to Dayton’s Feast of Giving dinner.
The Dayton Feast of Giving event brings the entire community together by offering a free meal for anyone that might be spending the holiday alone, those who are homeless or less fortunate, and for those who want to be a part of this historic family event. The Feast of Giving is being held at the Dayton Convention Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28.
RTA will run Sunday service on Thanksgiving Day and free rides apply to both regularly-scheduled routes and RTA Connect paratransit trips. No cash, passes or tickets are required.
The RTA Flyer circulator shuttle will not run on the holiday.
As a reminder to RTA riders, the Wright Stop Plaza platform in downtown Dayton will be closed starting Nov. 18 for approximately 10 days during a city of Dayton street construction project on Jefferson Street. All RTA buses will be using Main and Third streets for customer pickup and drop-offs. This will include Thanksgiving Day. Find more details of this closure at www.iriderta.org/wspclosure.
