(DAYTON, OHIO)… In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, the Greater Dayton RTA will run a Sunday service schedule on all routes on Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2.
The RTA will run its regular Saturday service hours on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 and Sunday services on Christmas Day, Dec. 25. The agency will also run its regular Saturday service hours on New Year’s Eve on Dec. 31, and Sunday service on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Due to the holidays falling on a Monday, the federally observed holidays are Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2 which is why the RTA will run reduced Sunday service hours those days.
Project Mobility will also follow the same timeframes for Saturday and Sunday services through the holidays.
RTA’s holiday bus will continue running regular routes through Jan. 1. The festive bus features a lighted garland and Christmas tree inside along with holiday music and candy canes. It is scheduled to be on Route 34 on Christmas Eve, Route 60 on Christmas Day and Routes 8 and 9 on Dec. 26.
Riders can track their bus or the holiday bus live with RTA’s new RideTime technology. Track your bus using a text message, phone call, computer or app. Visit iriderta.org/ridetime for more information.
