(DAYTON, OHIO) … The Greater Dayton RTA will adjust services to accommodate the Wayne Avenue road closures for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Wayne Avenue will be closed between Fifth and Bainbridge streets for the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the Dublin Pub restaurant.

The reroute will begin on Friday, March 16 at approximately 3 p.m. and last until the end of bus services on Saturday night/early Sunday morning. Regular bus routing will resume at the beginning of the service day on Sunday, March 18.

There will be no through traffic—northbound or southbound—on Wayne Avenue between Bainbridge and Fifth Streets. Routes 4 and 12 will deviate onto Fifth and Bainbridge to Wayne in both directions. Both north and southbound Routes 4 and 12 will deviate onto Fifth, Keowee and Wayne to go around the closure.

St. Patrick’s Day partygoers who want to be safe and not worry about parking near the party can use the RTA as their designated driver and easily plan their trip to the festivities with RTA RideTime products. This includes text-in and call-in features for real-time bus arrivals. Riders can also use the Transit or Moovit apps to plan their trip. Go to iriderta.org/ridetime for more information.
