(DAYTON, OHIO) … The Greater Dayton RTA will offer free rides on their entire system on Saturday, July 13, to ensure anyone and everyone can attend the Dayton Strong Benefit Concert for The Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund that will be held at RiverScape MetroPark from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The RTA will run all fixed-route and paratransit services free of charge on July 13 in support of the Dayton Strong Benefit Concert for The Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund. Routes 7, 8, 9,11,14,16,17,18,19 and The Flyer all have stops at or near RiverScape MetroPark for concert goers. For eligible customers who would like to book a trip to the concert using RTA Connect, please call the RTA Call Center in advance at 937-425-8300.

“RTA is supporting a variety of efforts to assist our community as it rebounds from this terrible disaster and we hope to help drive a great turnout that day,” said RTA CEO Mark Donaghy.

This fundraising concert is the result of a community partnership between Five Rivers MetroParks, SOCHE (Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education), The Dayton Foundation and many caring community partners who want to recognize and honor those in the Miami Valley who were impacted by the tornadoes on May 27th. All proceeds go towards The Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund, established by The Dayton Foundation, to help rebuild the community.

This event is free but the Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund donations of any amount are welcome. Join the community for a night of music, food and fun.
