The Dayton RTA will offer transportation for Dayton Public Schools (DPS) high school students beginning August 12, with Limited Service (LS) busing to each high school beginning Sept. 30.
There will be two phases of DPS bus service: Phase 1 from August 12 - September 29 and Phase 2 from September 30 to the end of the school year. Both phases will include DPS students using a special LS Service Student Pass as their method of fare payment.
The LS Service Student Pass will be provided by DPS at no cost to all students either before the start of the school year at school orientation, or on the first day of school. The LS Student Service Pass is valid every school day between the hours of 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. A student must present their LS Service Student Pass to ride, or they are subject to pay regular RTA fares of $2 per ride, or students may purchase a $4 Day Pass.
Phase 1: August 12 - September 29
DPS students using the LS Service Student Pass can ride any RTA bus to get to school. Rides using the LS Service Student Pass are available from 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. All students riding RTA services must present their LS Service Student Pass upon boarding, or they are subject to regular RTA fares.
Phase 2: September 30 through end of school year
Beginning Monday, Sept. 30, RTA's LS Service Routes will begin and the LS Service Student Pass can be used on the LS Service routes. If DPS students ride other RTA bus routes to school, they are subject to regular RTA fares. All DPS students riding LS Service routes must present their LS Service Student Pass upon boarding, or they are subject to regular RTA fares.

- - Belmont High School
- - Dunbar High School
