Jamie Simpson

Dayton appointee Simpson has owned Jamie’s Childcare since 1997 and has degrees in early childhood education and business administration. She is a strong advocate for policies and practices that benefit families and the community.

Simpson is active in other community organizations and boards. She is president of the Hillview Neighborhood Association, president of Local 4026 Child Care Provider Union under AFSCME Ohio Council 8, a committee chair for NAACP, and holds offices for several other organizations, including the Dayton Association of Family Childcare and the National Family Childcare Association. She serves on RTA’s planning committee.
