Adrienne L. Heard
Adrienne Heard has a BA in Personnel Management from Michigan State University, an MBA in Management and Finance from the University of Dayton and a Small Business Administration CBA (Certified Business Advisor®) designation from the University of Toledo.
Adrienne Heard established a career in business administration with a number of Fortune 500 companies as well as with not-for-profit and privately-held firms.
Heard Management was formed in 1993 to provide these same services on a consulting basis. Heard Management is a minority female owned sole proprietorship consulting firm specializing in management consulting services which include planning, management accounting, standard operating procedures, training & development, coaching and problem solving. Using training and experience from a variety of workplace settings, Heard Management develops management tools to help organizations succeed. The emphasis is on "Procedures to Prevent Problems".
In 2003 Adrienne was recognized by Leading Women, Inc. of Cincinnati for her contributions in the field of Entrepreneurship. Adrienne is the author of:
Quick and Smart Entrepreneur’s Handbook, published by Hollandays Publishing. Her column "Mind Your Own Business" appeared in the Dayton Weekly News. She is a member of the National Speakers Association and is often requested to present workshops and seminars on business and staff development topics.
In her personal life, Adrienne is a life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She resides in Trotwood, Ohio, with her husband Calvin Heard. They have two adult sons: Kevin and Keith. In Adrienne’s spare time she performs as a storyteller, specializing in Black History. She has published a book Aunt Rosie’s Mother’s Quilt – Stories of the Underground Railroad based on one of her most frequently requested performances. Adrienne is quite active in her community, serving as trustee at her church, participating on various boards and service organizations and meeting once a month with her support group: Whist Lovers Anonymous.
