The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA), Masabi, the company bringing Fare Payments-as-a-Service to public transit, , and Transit, the official mobility app of innovative agencies including RTA, have today announced the addition of Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) to the RTA’s Tapp Pay contactless fare payment solution. The new system, which is powered by Masabi’s Justride platform, means riders in Dayton will no longer need to buy a ticket or select a fare in advance of travel. Instead, they can now simply use Tapp Pay via the Transit app on their smartphone to tap and ride - safe in the knowledge that, thanks to new fare capping technology, they will always be charged the best possible price for their journey.
In recognition of a historic Inauguration Day, the Greater Dayton RTA will celebrate Black History Month through its “Black Women In History” campaign. This campaign will begin on Feb. 1 and run through the entire month of February.

The Greater Dayton RTA will temporarily close its transit center platform at Wright Stop Plaza for two days: Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26 and 27, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. RTA maintenance workers will be performing routine maintenance and repairs to the platform during that time.
Changes occur every day to roads, businesses and communities that affect RTA’s transportation network. RTA responds to these changes by adjusting and modifying its bus service three times each year.
